About Dr. Md Mohasin Uddin

In the first minutes of a STEMI, the decisions made inside the Cath Lab determine whether a patient walks out of hospital. Over the past seven years, those are the moments I have built my career around. I am a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist currently practising at Labaid Cardiac Hospital, Dhaka — one of Bangladesh's leading tertiary cardiac institutes. I hold MRCP (UK) from the Royal College of Physicians, London, FSCAI (Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, Washington DC), and a Diploma in Cardiology (D-Card) from Bangladesh Medical University. My qualification pathway has been deliberately structured to meet the highest international board standards in interventional cardiology. My clinical practice centres on advanced coronary interventions — primary PCI, PTCA, coronary angiography, valvuloplasty, and structural heart disease interventions. I perform cardiac device implantation including PPM, CRT, and ICD, alongside catheter ablation and haemodynamic monitoring and management. A significant part of my Consultant role has involved leading STEMI activation protocols and working to optimise door-to-balloon times — outcomes that translate directly into lives saved. I am now actively targeting Consultant Interventional Cardiologist roles in Labaid Cardiac Hospital, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
